【摘要】:Oneobjectiveintheextrusionofrubbercompoundsistoobtainasmoothextrusionthatcloselyreproducesthecontoursoftheextrusiondie.Thistestmethodprovidesforasubjectivedeterminationofthisundercontrolledconditions.Astheratingissubjective,itdoesnotlenditselfreadilytoincorporationasaspecificationrequirement.Itdoesnotmeasureotheraspectsofextrudabilitysuchasrateofextrusionordieswellinaquantitativemanner.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheextrudabilityofunvulcanizedSBRandNBRrubbercompoundsthroughascrew-typeextruderequippedwithASTMExtrusionDie,Garveytype.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoallowtheobservationoftheappearanceandcontoursoftheextrusion.Ratingsystemsareprovidedalongwithrecipesforcompoundsofknownextrusioncharacteristics.Theutilityofthetestmethodforevaluatingrubbersorcompoundingmaterialsotherthanthoselistedhasnotbeenestablished.Sinceextrusionmachinesdifferamonglaboratories,theprocedureincludestechniquesthatminimizedifferencesbetweenmachines.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
