【摘要】:Inthedesign,assembly,qualityassessmentandstandardizationofthreadedfastenersandjoints,expressionsarefrequentlyusedwhichrelatetothevarioustorquefunctionswhicharerequiredtobeappliedorassessed.Muchconfusionisgeneratedbythemultiplicityoftermsusedthroughoutindustry.Asabasicreferencedocumentprovidingacomprehensivelistofterms,thisglossaryisintendedtopromotebetterunderstandingbetweenthevarioussectionsofindustryandtheusersoffasteners.ManyofthedefinitionsinthisglossaryareessentiallythesameasthoseusedinotherBritishStandardsalreadypublished.AstheseBritishStandardsarerevisedandnewstandardsareproduced,theuseofthedefinitionsgiveninthisglossarywillbeencouragedinordertopromotewideracceptanceandrecognitionofstandardterminology.Inthisglossary,termsarearrangedinalphabeticalorder.Inthedefinitions,italicshavebeenusedtoindicatetermsthataredefinedelsewhereinthisglossary.
